https://www.eircode.ie/

This relates to any home insurance claims:

  • made in connection with any other properties owned or occupied, at any time, by you or others residing with you
  • previously paid out by us
*
Please give accurate information regarding the occupancy of the property, as this will form the basis of your cover. If you're unsure, please phone us in Wexford on 1890 400 300.

As well as the 'main' bathroom, this should include ensuites and any other rooms containing a toilet and/or shower/bath facilities.
*
Enter the year that the property was originally built (not when it was last renovated or refurbished).
*
If you have more than one heating system please select the option that reflects the main source of heating in the property.
*
Standard Construction:

If you don't have a working alarm, please select 'Not Alarmed'. If you have a bell-only alarm, or an alarm system with SMS alerts, please select 'Alarmed'. If your home is connected to a central monitoring station (e.g. PhoneWatch), please select 'Monitored Alarm'.

This amount should be the rebuilding cost and not the market value of your home. It should include the cost of fixtures and fittings like kitchen units, built-in wardrobes, bathroom sanitary fittings, carpets, permanent structures such as outbuildings (e.g. garages / garden sheds), garden fences or walls, along with the cost of site clearance and architects' fees (if the property needs to be rebuilt).

Try our handy Rebuilding Calculator Click here which uses information from the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland to calculate the rebuild cost of your home.

Under Contents, you should insure for the amount it would cost to replace all household goods and personal belongings as new in the home. This should cover everything you would normally take with you if you sold or moved out of the property. To make sure you cover all contents, it is best to walk through your home and calculate on a room by room basis. Fixtures and fitting costs like kitchen units, built-in wardrobes, bathroom sanitary fittings or carpets should be included under 'Buildings' in the above section and not under Contents. You should calculate contents cover based on what it would cost to replace the items as new today.
